I'm having the same problem as others reported. Radio lights up occasionally, haven't identified any consistency. I'm wondering if it's related to the recall due to the wiring
Damn light on the radio was always very hard to read, but now it doesn't work at all. Impossible to see at dark. Suspect once again, a MAJOR Honda bill to fix.
Radio light will come on occasionally, but most of the time it leaves you in the dark. It is definitely annoying and I saw how to fix the problem on YouTube. But I will not open up my radio to try and fix it.
Real strange. Illumination of radio function works when it wants too... I have not tried to take apart to see if there is a loose connection. Don't want to pay the cost of high end labor.

Could be related to headlight switch: Radio light goes out only when headlights are turned on.
Dealer says wiring is fine and radio can't be repaired: wants $1,300 to replace; stereo shop in NY says radio can be repaired for $495.
