The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ignition switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
2000 Honda Prelude fuel cap was loose, and the radio became inoperative after ignition switch recall repairs were performed. The dealer also replaced the starter under warranty because the vehicle took longer than normal to start.
