The contact owns a 2019 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the vehicle came to a complete stop. The contact attempted to accelerate, and the vehicle stalled while making an unusual sound. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a faulty fuel pump. The contact was informed that the upper high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the dealer informed him that the vehicle had experienced the same failure as in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
