CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012-2013 Honda Pilot have a small complaint trend of owners reporting the engine hesitates sometimes when accelerating.

While it's not a widespread trend with the Pilot, it's a little concerning because of the possibly safety ramifications. While it's certainly something to keep in mind, most Pilot owners are not experiencing this problem.

Wires burnt to headlights as a result of overheating wires; resulted in both low beam headlights going out while driving. It seems like Honda has had this problem previously in older Pilot models. Unsure of why they are making newer vehicles with the same issues.

The low beam headlight on the passenger side stopped working. I replacing the bulb, but it still wouldn't work. Six to eight weeks later the drivers' side low beam stopped working. When looking it up online, I found many people have had the same issue as far back as 2005 Honda models and not only with the Pilot but several other models. I have an appointment on 5/30/19 at a Honda dealership to repair a recall on the passenger side airbag and will get an estimate on the cost for fixing the low beam headlights. At what point does Honda need to take responsibility for this problem instead of their customers paying for their faulty wiring?
