Two weeks after first chip on windshield we got a second chip during a drive from Lincoln, Nebraska to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Update from Nov 4, 2021: Vehicle Mileage: 1,432
Description: We purchased a 2019 Honda Passport last month and had a question about our new vehicle's cracked windshield. We just returned from a road trip to Colorado Springs to visit our oldest daughter's family. During the trip, our new SUV's windshield developed cracks in two different places over a two day period.
Has Honda had any cracked windshield issues? How much will it cost to replace the front windshield? One crack appeared as we were traveling on I-80 across Nebraska on July 14. The other in Colorado Springs city traffic on July 16. Both cracks appeared to have been caused by small objects while we traveled on paved roads. We noticed no sound of the objects striking the windshield before the cracks appeared. We were not traveling behind large vehicles such as dump trucks, semis, concrete or gravel trucks, etc. when the cracks appeared.
Over the past 15 years, our family has driven four different cars around town and across the country with one windshield crack. It struck us as strange our new Honda's windshield would crack twice in two places over the course of two days.
