I was less than a mile from my home, driving downhill on a blind s-curve when the transmission seemed to partially disengage and buck and grind like a 17 year old trying to steal a manual shift car. I was honestly afraid that my gears were stripping.
I called the dealership who tried to tell me it was "normal" and that "things like this happen during break in period" so I called AGAIN and took vehicle in.
They test drove 10 miles and claimed to run diagnostics and the problem (miraculously!) didn't show up on their diagnostics and they did not experience problem I encountered. They told me the car was fine and safe. I dispute that, especially after finding a CALIFORNIA class action lawsuit on 2019 Honda Odyssey with identical problem described.
I called Honda corporate and they flat out refused to do anything; they told me to go back to my dealer, who basically did nothing. They told me to let them know if it happens again - for my sake I hope it doesn't happen when I'm in front of another vehicle or crossing a roadway, etc.
I consider this to be a serious safety concern and everyone seems very cavalier about it - corporate and dealer who told me they can do nothing because they cannot find the problem.
Quite obviously they KNOW there is a problem.
