Last year I noticed rust that had become a gaping hole in the lower part- rear axle frame of my Honda Passport's. recently when I was driving real axle frame cracked with a loud noise. Temporary welding is done. I checked with Honda service, car body repair and local mechanic -no one assured that it can be fixed. And finally it makes the car impossible to sell. Please help me on this. I am the third owner VIN no: [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

My 1999 Honda Passport has a rear stabilizer bar holding the wheel in place that is welded onto the frame. The stabilizer bar has rusted off the frame (or "ripped" off the frame while I was driving), causing the wheel to become loose. This vehicle swerved all over the road until I got it stopped. The vehicle is un-drivable and was towed away. There were no warning signs of this going bad. I am still unsure what the fix would be, as it is the frame that is bad.
