Settings: Temperature: Coolest, dir: Front only, air: Recycled, A/C button: On, fan: Off (air system not on). Event occurred: 11/03/98 was driving on surface street (level surface) and decided to turn on air-conditioning. Recycled air only activates if the fan is set to a speed level. I switched fan speed to 1, and for approximately 5 seconds, visible steam came through the vents.
When driving at 25 mph the engine check light came on and stayed on, and the air conditioner went out and was blowing out hot air. Check engine light is still coming on. Dealer replaced the gas cape, and the consumer was having problem with the exhaust system. Vehicle has been in the shop six times, and the dealer fixed everything. Consumer just got the vehicle out as of 11-05-98, and the accelerator pedal broke while the consumer was driving, and a metal piece was hanging down. The consumer used the metal part to drive when the accelerator pad broke.
