The contact owned a 1995 Honda Passport. While the vehicle was being serviced for an unrelated issue, the independent mechanic observed that the rear frame of the vehicle was completely and severely rusted. The mechanic stated that the vehicle was destroyed and could not be repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
Went to dealer today for a recalled. Problem on regulator and they valley Honda in Aurora il. Checked out the whole vehicle and came to. Me stating it is unsafe to drive for frame is rusted all the way thru. I have small children that I have been driving in this vehicle. It is the only vehicle we have to get to our jobs, doctor appts., anything with this being a known problem for years it should have been a recall issue along with safety. Manufacturer should be held responsible to.help get us into a safe vehicle now. I bought a Honda for they are suppose to be safe and built well.
