I picked the car up from the dealer and drove it home. The car started with 18 miles on it, and had about 40-something when I got home. Good thing I got home! While driving on the highway, I got 3 separate giant “STEERING†warnings on the dash. They were thankfully fast, because the warnings accompanies a TOTAL LOSS OF STEERING. It’s like the steering wheel came totally loose. This was NOT the shaky steering that happens when the lane departure safety is on. This was LOSS of steering while driving at high speed. At least twice, maybe 3 times. Each fairly short (as I am thankfully still alive), but each terrifying. I have three small children and am literally afraid to drive this car and kill us all.
