Was issued a safety recall, called local Honda dealership, spoke to Tony on 9/7/23 would not see us for several months. Said service would not be available until April 2024. The safety issue could cause a crash according to the recall notice, but the dealership and person I spoke to at Honda manufacturer main number said we would be fine and they can-??t force the dealer to get us in sooner. We got an earlier appointment for 7 Feb 2024. This is a leased vehicle and I feel our rights are being violated. They are not trying to fix it in a timely manner. The electrical components flash off and on still.

A recall was fixed in June 2023 due to faulty media components. However, the media center would again go completely blank and backup camera failed. We brought to dealer which did a "hard reset" on the media center. This solved the issue for only-3-5 days. The media center is again blank and all systems associated with it (phone, radio, back up camera) do not work.

While in stop and go traffic on I-75/85 through downtown Atlanta today, my 2022 Odyssey locked up. The dash indicated a battery problem and advised braking and finding a shoulder, however my engine had cut off and the vehicle would not respond when I attempted to follow the directions given. With my hazard lights on I attempted to turn off/on my engine and place the vehicle in Park without success. It would not restart until I turned off the AIS and put my van in PARK in the middle of the Interstate to finally turn back on. I am a skilled driver with ample engine knowledge and even then was barely able to avoid collision because the vehicle was completely incapacitated. Honda KNOWS this is a problem (I learned after my incident today) and need to find a remedy before someone gets killed.

2022 Honda Odyssey:When the auto-off or whatever it is called engages when you put your foot on the brake at a red light or stop sign and the engine turns off, it is supposed to restart the engine when you take your foot off the brake. That feature is causing issues on average of one time per day where the engine does not turn back on. The van loses all power, red battery light comes on, and the dash gives an alert to put it part and restart the van. It eventually restarts but with wife and 3 kids in van on the highway, this is not safe as other vehicles almost hit us because they do not know the van died.

This has happen several times and I just had it in a Honda dealership this morning and about 3 hours later my car loss all electrical power and died and would not restart. Honda dealership did not know what is causing this issue.

The vehicle has lost its power during the drive. As I was pulling the vehicle out of the driveway, the vehicle was completely shut off and immediately turned on. A few month later, similar thing happen. This time I tried cold start and it never cranked just on for a second and then lost the power compeletly. It happened one more time and I took it to the dealership. They said there is no issue with the battery, the assume the batter power is not enough for the vehicle. Even it has a geniue battery that was never replaced from the very first purchase it is not supporting the vehicle. It has not happen to me, but I lost the power in the middle of an highway it is a disaster. On the way out of the dealership, ridiculously it did not start again, and they jump started the car. We purchased a 2022 Honda Odyssey EXL and shortly after purchasing it the driver's rear door sliding door stopped unlocking and it won't lock if it's unlocked. This prevents the ability to lock the door using the remote locking feature it also prevents fueling the vehicle if the lock is unlocked because the fuel door will not open if the door is unlocked. We took the vehicle in August 26th 2022 to Honda dealership and the dealership tested the lock switch and it still didn't work so they said that it could be the BCM and that has been on back order since August it is currently January 6th 2023.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact stated upon depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal was stiff and would not go down. The contact was unable to pull to the side of the road and allowed the vehicle to roll until it came to a complete stop. The contact and his son exit the vehicle. The contact stated that while they were standing on the sidewalk, his son noticed that the message "Push the Start Button and Hold for Two Seconds" was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact's son pressed the START button as instructed and was able to restart the vehicle. The contact was able to drive at 20 MPH to the nearby dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

Intermittently, my 2022 Honda Odyssey with less than 16,000 miles will -??stall-?? after the idle stop/start system is enacted. The first time it happened, I was waiting to turn left out of a parking lot onto a busy road. The idle stop kicked in, and when I went to go, my car lurched about 5 feet and the engine cut out completely requiring me to turn off the car with the push button start, restart the car, and put the car into drive. Luckily, people going both directions on the crossroad were able to go around me. This has happened probably 10 times before I was able to get it into the car dealership for service. It has no rhyme or reason for when it happens. The car dealership replaced the battery and said that it should fix the issue. When I went to leave the dealership after the -??fix-?? the car again -??stalled-?? as I was leaving the driveway of the dealership. I turned right back around, and returned the car to be serviced. Now, when talking to the service department at the dealership, I am being told that because -??there is no code, and they cannot reproduce the issue, there is no fix.-?? I am not willing to drive an unsafe car, and additionally, the idle stop/start was one of the reasons this van gets good gas milage. So, I should not have to turn off that feature every time I get in the vehicle. My vehicle is currently sitting at the dealership because I have no other recourse to get it fixed. Husband has traded many phone calls with dealership and service department.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving at 50-65 MPH, the collision mitigation braking system was applied and the vehicle stopped abruptly, causing her children to sustain whiplash. The message "brake" was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that no issues were found. However, the failure had reoccurred several times while there were no other vehicles or objects around the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated while her son was attempting to exit the vehicle through the driver's side rear sliding door, he pressed the door lock button; however, the door did not fully open fully and closed abruptly on his left hand. The contact's son was taken to the hospital where it was diagnosed that he sustained severe pain, laceration, and swollenness on his left hand. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and advised the contact that they would arrange for a field technician to inspect the vehicle; however, the vehicle was not inspected. The contact followed up with the manufacturer. A case was opened. The manufacturer advised the contact to acquire a vehicle rental while the inspection was being completed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 950.

Passenger side, sliding door. The door closes on its own randomly but becoming more frequent. I have taken the van to the dealer multiple times and they can not figure out what is wrong. There was no warning light or error shown. Today the door shut on my son-??s foot as he was getting in the car. The door fully closed and pinned his foot causing him great pain. He could not twist to open the door and free himself. The door did not safety bump open (as it should have if anything was in the way of closing) It was not until I heard his screams of pain that I ran to his side of the car and opened the door, freeing him. I have attached the photo of his foot.
