My warning lights came on about a month ago. Nothing too bad. It would come on some day, and other days it would be fine. Then, after I did the fuel pump recall from Honda, the next couple of days, all warning lights came on and the van started jerking, lagging, then I could not accelerate. It shut off on its own. Tried starting it up and it would turn on. Got it towed to Honda dealership. After they looked at it and did a few test, the conclusion was a faulty multi front camera. The one that lives on your windshield. The actual brain of the car. They said it was going out and needed to be replaced and recalibrated. Would cost me around $1200. NOPE. This is a Honda problem responsibility. I have less than 60K miles on it. The van is well maintained. and its a 2019. What does that tell you. Honda should take responsibility for recalibration and faulty camera and fix it at no cost. There should be a lawsuit against this.
Update from Feb 5, 2025 Here is the replacement part and #, Front Camera - Honda (36160-THR-A11).
And this was on the Honda parts website, "Honda's reputation for quality, reliability, and performance is second to none. When your Honda needs a repair, it's important to use genuine OEM replacement Honda Parts. That way, you can keep your Honda a Honda."
All dash warning lights came on and stay on until the dealership resets the computer. There is also a small vibration while driving faster than 50 mph. They seem to be related problems.
This has occurred twice now. The first time the dealer said it was a dirty sensor and reset the computer. A couple months later, same thing. The dealership has had it for three days and says they don't know what is wrong with the car.
Very disappointed in Honda for selling these cars...should have recalled all off them.
