This is mostly a curiosity question, since I can't get a straight answer out of my dealer service shop. I ask what's the normal lowest shift point for 9th, and they have no answer - just that it varies. My 2018 Odyssey EXL 9 speed won't upshift into 9th until 63 mph on the level, with a light load. Yet it has been in 8th since around 40 mph, running from 14 - 2100 rpm when it does finally shift. Then it's at about 1750 at 63 mph. I've got 21,000 miles on the van now, but it seems to me it used to shift a lot earlier, like maybe in the 55 range at very light load on the level. Can anyone verify if mine is behaving normally now, or do others shift lower?
