BACKGROUND
The trailer hitch weight was not properly calculated into the gross axle weight rating (GAWR) on the vehicle certification label. This can create a situation where the vehicle exceeds the indicated gross axle weight rating.
Additionally, the OwnerÂ’s Guide incorrectly states the towing capacity of the vehicle is 1,500 lbs. The OwnerÂ’s Guide should show a table listing the towing capacity based on the number of passengers in the vehicle.
