CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 and 2015 Honda Odyssey shows an early trend of transmission problems with clunking/jerking when shifting gears.
Most of these Odyssey transmissions are still under warranty, but so far Toyota generally hasn't been able to diagnose or fix the clunking problem — that's the reason for our low rating. Some owners have reported it was a stuck solenoid, & in a few cases Honda has replaced the entire transmission.
As more of these Odysseys start exceeding the 60,000-mile powertrain warranty limit, buyer beware.
My wife is the main driver of this van. She has complained since day one after our lease of how uncomfortable the seats are. We drove from New Jersey to Texas and back and it felt like somebody had kicked the crap out of me. Our lease is up Feb 2018 and we are not keeping it.
I'm 100% disabled vet. Had a Braun wheelchair modification installed and picked up the car(new) yesterday. I sat in the rear seat while my wife and grandson occupied the two front seats WE drove home (20 miles) After just a few miles i realized how uncomfortable the seat was. The back rest was HARD and the head rest even harder !!! By the time we got home my back ached(never before, and I,m 81 years old!!!). I was uncomfortable for hours, and while in bed that evening. We periodically drive round trip (Florida/Maryland) I doubt that we four people could do that in this car!!!!!
