I took my van to a local mechanic that I use. They told me that they see this issue and it's covered under an extended warranty. The van is throwing the P0303 code and the oil stick is dry; though I changed my oil on 4/8/2019. The Technical Service Bulletin 13-081 is what they gave me to take to the dealer. I took the car to the dealership and they called me a few hours later saying that my VIN wasn't covered under this extended warranty. Though, my year, make, model, and mileage all matched, the Bulletin is VIN specific. They said that they can just do a tune up and see if that addresses the issues, so I called the other mechanic that I trust and he said, they will just burn out again and you will then need to spend around $3K from his end, not sure what it would be at a dealer to do an engine overhaul; he also said he couldn't believe they told me that it wasn't covered and that this is a known issue with a class action lawsuit against Honda. I'm really in a bind right now because I've recently had to replace a water heater and have medical bills related to my sons broken leg. I called American Honda and they said there is nothing that they can do to help.
