I get a major dead spot on attempted acceleration moving from a slowdown (as toward a signal) toward acceleration (as the signal changes) at about 5 -10 mph. This is consistent. I can step hard on the gas or pump the accelerator and get no response for at least 2 seconds. It seems like if you hit the brake, you cannot use the accelerator unless it is fully reset. I am thinking it is a software problem. The injury risk is you hit the accelerator and the car cannot get out of a dangerous situation.
