I was driving my Honda 2010 Odessey with 110K miles on it , with my young daughter in the front seat and slowed to make a turn and car accelerated while my foot was on the brake( we have no floor mats which they like to use ). It happened again a couple days later same situation and i would not drive the car after that. Had Honda dealership tow the car and corporate Honda came out and did tests and said the car was perfectly safe to drive. I asked them if they would put their daughter in the front seat or in front of this veheicle knowing what was happening . THEY SAID THEY WOULD. They did some stuff to the brakes and said they tested and it was perfect. I was driving at about 30 MPH 2 weeks later and was coming up to stopped cars and hit the brake and the car accellerated and i steered onto the curb. Towed back to Honnda. The corporate asked what i wanted and i said just fair value of the car and have it destroyed. They said sell it . Honda obviosly does not care if the Van kills someone but i do so i gave to a charity with the condition that the car could not go to auction and would be used only for parts and ate the cost of the Van . To not take a potential killer off the street after 3 times happening shows where Honda sits as far as priority. All they had to install on there newer Vans is a switch that kills the fuel intake when the brake is hit other manufacturers are doing this , but not Honda . We think we are making progress on Safety and Honda just takes us backwards and will cost some child their life to avoid any blame or recall . I will never drive a Honda again and tell my story to anyone I see who drives a Honda.
