My mechanic told me that Honda issued a "technical service bulletin" about this issue and when I researched it, it looks like they actually settled a class action lawsuit and yet there is NO recall and I had to shell out $300 to fix it! Ridiculous! Of course I am just days past the "extended warranty" limit. And from everything I've been reading, the shuddering our engine has been doing at 40/50 mph that we were told was a spark plug issue may actually be because of this oil problem! We had to shell out big bucks to the dealership to replace the plugs (before we found a better, honest mechanic). Of course they never mentioned this oil issue and if I'd known about it before the switches totally died and my check engine light came on, I probably could have gotten this fixed under warranty a year ago!
