Just got the heavy from my mechanic who advised me the transmission went out. I couldn't believe it! My Odyssey only had 130K miles! Called around and the local transmission repair shops charged around $2,500 to $3,500 for repair. It started with a winding noise then now power with all of the dash lights coming on like a x-mas tree. I pressed the gas pedal and it didn't go anywhere. I pressed on the gas again and then I got a little movement which allowed me to get it home. The next morning, I was able to drive down the block to my local mechanic. I hoped (prayed) it was maybe just a sensor, but I knew it was the transmission. I bought the van used from a very reputable Honda dealership in 2014 with 90K miles. I should've serviced the transmission.
All in all, I love the van! My kids love the van! back seats recline. Great on gas. Spacious! So I'm hoping this will last me at least another 4 years. We'll see.
