I have owned five Honda Odyssey's and I have never had this problem before, I took the car back to my purchasing dealer which is Rick Case Honda. After having Rick Case's service rep. check the problem he stated that he would contact Honda, I told him that I had been told prior that they needed to take photos of the problem he stated that not to worry about it that he would contact Honda. Approximately a week later he called and stated that he had to have photos and that I could take them and email them to him. This process took about 10 days due to the fact that the service rep said he did not receive them the first time after finally getting the photos he called and stated that Honda would pay 500 dollars towards the replacement of the seats and that my cost would be 1,630 dollars. I then contacted Honda directly and stated to them that there was no damage to the leather seating area's of the car it was only a defect of the vinyl. They said they would contact the area service rep. and two days later they stated they talked to the service rep. and that Honda would only pay the 500 dollars. I stated that I didn't feel this was fair this was a defect in the material and asked if anyone else had, had the same problem with their Honda, they denied knowing of any such problem. I am very disappointed that a company like Honda did not offer to stand behind their product other than a token amount however they did tell me that I could save my receipts and if they did have a recall that I could request my money back. I am now shopping for another brand!
