CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2007-2009 was, at one point, the best selling minivan in the United States. But 2007 owners got the short end of that deal.

Peeling paint, a whining steering pump and an easily breakable A/C condenser are all top complaints about the 2007 model year. And anyone who doesn't think a busted minivan A/C is a big deal has never taken a summer road trip with kids.

Odyssey EXL RES V6

Every 6 months the front tires would wear with only 6000 miles or so. Would get alignment after alignment. After about 3 sets of tires, I finally switched away from the Michelins. The Bridgestones seemed to finally fix the problem. The dealer said its just the way it is with the Odyssey and to add extra tire pressure. The real issue is the tires.

Odyssey Touring 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

Honda and Michelin installed PAX tires on the Touring model and did not offer another option in 2007. These tires are very expensive, do not wear well, have very limited repair facilities, and there is no spare. Honda dealer where purchased, Honda motors and Michelin all refused to address the issue or admit problems. Another Honda dealer helped resolve by installing Pilot take-off wheels and standard tires.

End result, vehicle runs smoother, quieter, and has less harsh ride. The class action suit regarding this issue closed out in Jan 2010 and responsible parties refuse to support customers. The very limited repair options put customer at risk of being stranded and incurring high repair/replacement costs if on the road.

Odyssey Touring 3.5L

You must go to the Dealer to have the Run Flat tires replaced at $250.00 per tire because only they have the Michelin tires and the equip. to do the replacement. I was never told by Honda when I bought the Van or I would have passed on the Odyssey Touring Van. Front Tires wear like crazy and won't last more then 30,000 miles if you are lucky with no choice for other tires to replace with. Other wheels will not fit because of the odd bolt pattern. This is a total ripoff by Honda. Any Solutions? Any one?
