Car Shudders While Driving
2007 Honda Odyssey
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2007-2009 was, at one point, the best selling minivan in the United States. But 2007 owners got the short end of that deal.
Peeling paint, a whining steering pump and an easily breakable A/C condenser are all top complaints about the 2007 model year. And anyone who doesn't think a busted minivan A/C is a big deal has never taken a summer road trip with kids.

This problem has been reoccurring over the last year. It only happens on the highway and of late is getting worse. This problem used to happen only when we were in cruise control. But lately it is happening at all times. We have had this checked by mechanics at Honda. But since it is random, they have not been able to pin point the problem. This shuddering usually starts after we have driven at least 10 miles and occurs more frequently around 65-70 mph. This shuddering occurs approximatley every 5 miles. We can stop this shuddering when we: 1) deactivate cruise control, 2) brake or 3) step off the accelerator.
We are very dissappointed with this van. This week we are going to the Honda mechanic to try one more time for a solution. If not successful, we will have to move forward with a trade in and we will consider Toyota.
