CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2007-2009 was, at one point, the best selling minivan in the United States. But 2007 owners got the short end of that deal.
Peeling paint, a whining steering pump and an easily breakable A/C condenser are all top complaints about the 2007 model year. And anyone who doesn't think a busted minivan A/C is a big deal has never taken a summer road trip with kids.
Bought the Odyssey and used the DVD once or twice (my son was too young to watch in the car - he had problems with motion sickness). We withheld using the player for a little over a year. We took a road trip and tried using the DVD player on-the-road; it would not work. The screen either had a blue screen or black, but wouldn't read the DVD. I took it to Honda, they referred me to the shop that they use to do electrical and other work. I had to drive 20 miles north of where I live, have it examined and the set an appointment to have the DVD repaired/replaced. Another couple weeks later, I took my vehicle to the shop and sat for 3 hours to have it fixed. Cost $450 and that did not include the $$ for the remote batteries -which still doesn't work. The shop didn't have any and by the time I got around to buying a set from Honda, I still couldn't get it to work. My DVD player, however, did work upon fixing it, but it's been a while since we've used it. I can only hope it still works. Pretty upset with Honda for not offering to take care of it or some sort of discount as it was within a month of my warranty expiring - this all revolved around the soft brake recall, too. And I own 2 Hondas and frequent Honda for all service(s).
