This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Noticed an oscillation (shimmy) at 40+ mph around 7K miles that progressively worsened over the next couple of months. After 4 visits to the dealer within the first year, which included 2 alignments, 2 road force balancing and tire rotations, the shimmy still persists at 24K miles. Dealer cannot fix. Will contact Honda directly.
Steering wheel shake at 50+ mph since new. Dealer not receptive to complaints during first few visits and recall service visits. Week of 11-12-06 dealer will test drive due to 'service bulletin' from Honda. We have been putting up with this wheel shake for two years.
: the contact stated while sitting idle after driving a long distance, a whine was heard intermittently in the steering column. The vehicle was driven to the dealer who could not duplicate the problem. The consumer stated the dealer did state there were problems with other vans like his. Updated 12/01/06
