Having to replace the engine motor mounts again. Replaced the front mount in Oct. 2014. Faulty again. Checked online and there have been plenty complaints about the motor mounts. Was told engine could fall down when driving. NHTSA need to check into this. I'm sure Honda is aware of this issue but has done nothing about it.

Motor mounts were cracked. I was forced to replace them after I was told by the dealer that this wasn't a recall issue. This causes an extreme vibration which effects the handling of the car and passenger comfort.

The passenger side sliding door wouldn't close after 25 minutes of trying and finally getting it closed I headed home. Only to be driving down the road and I can hear something like the window is down yet it's not. All the windows where closed and the ac was on. Then I saw the door ajar light is on for that door. The door had come unlatched enough drop to change through. I bought this van and loved it now I am seriously reconsidering ever buying one again. My sister has the 2006 and she has had it happen with both door one even coming open while driving down the road going 40 mph. My other sister also has an Odyssey the 2003 and she has also has safety issues with her power door. I will not recommend this vehicle to anyone with all of the problems I have had and now I'm hearing more people are having this issue.

I've this Honda Odyssey since Dec 2010 when the mileage was around 42000 miles. At the time of purchase from another person(1st owner), I knew I had to fix the all the motor mounts. The vehicle had just 44000 miles and I had changed all the motor mounts at 45412 miles on 03/17/2011. Now, as of 05/19/2015, the vehicle has only 96000 miles. I have to change side and rear engine mounts again on 05/19/2015. This definitely is a problem with Honda parts and how they are working when the van is in motion. Changing motor mounts 2 times in less than 100,000 miles is really disappointing and waste of unnecessary money. My wife uses this van for her daily work commute. As you can see, it has less miles and I've done all the services regularly as it is the primary family vehicle. So, I request Honda to consider this as a genuine request for reimbursement. I've the receipts for these 2 services. Also, I've seen several Honda Odyssey 2005 vans have this problem, so Honda should recall this motor mounts problem and fix at their cost or reimburse for already repaired vans

As I started to receive notice that my navigation disc needed replacing, the disc failed, shutting down the entire navigation system and rendering all console controls useless. Though that is irritating, the safety concern I have is that it also shut down the use of my back-up camera. Although I am able to use the vehicle without the camera, several "almost" accidents have occurred due to the blind spots I can no longer see without the use of the camera.

2005 Honda with 72K mi now exhibiting the classic "shuddering" issue...I.e. between 30-35 and 40-45mph in eco mode. The car literally shakes during acceleration until 50mph. We also experience humming from the transmission. It looks like several complaints regarding the same issue have been posted on the link below www.odysseytransmission.com//problemcases?msgid=510. Honda's response is quite disappointing acknowledging lack of ownership concerning their product; leaving the consumer holding the bag. I feel like we've been sold a bill of goods. We the consumers would graciously appreciate an advocate who will hold grossly lucrative companies like Honda accountable for their product and act in good faith on behalf of the consumer. Your immediate attention is most appreciated.

We took our van in for servicing and complained to the Honda service representative that we have been experiencing vehicle vibrations that became worse during regular highway speeds when the variable cylinder management (vcm) system shifted from 6 to 4 cylinders and back again. We also started experiencing a distinct "clunk" sound during our vacation trip in late June. The Honda dealership inspected the vehicle and discovered that three motor mounts ("front, rear and side motor mounts") had failed and needed replacing. The repairs were made, as well as an oil/filter change, and vehicle multi-point inspection. The subtotal cost for just the motor mount replacement parts and labor was $987.13. We discovered searching on the internet that this type of problem, especially with the rear motor, has been reported numerous times by other 2005, 2006, & 2007 Honda Odyssey exl & touring model owners. We are now seeking "goodwill consideration" for all, or most of the motor mount replacement cost, since learning that the Odyssey hasn't been recalled for checks since the 1 December 2006 service bulletin 06-083.

Have had a few problems since purchased van new. First problem around "08 is a vibrating-shuddering felt in steering wheel. At about 35- 45 mph and just before the "econo" would kick in, I would feel the vibrating start. If I increase my speed quickly and get on up to about 50mph, it would stop. Thought it needed a tune-up..did that-still vibrated. Thought it was transmission-had it flushed-still vibrated. It wasn't a constant problem back in "08, but irritating.now in 2013 it is many times a day and shudders very badly. Took it to Honda dealer today about the escalated vibrations. Test drove it and said vibrations were from torque converter and needed to replace transmission.also needed timing belt replaced. I did'nt expect to hear transmission-expected to hear rear motor mount(600.00) needed replacing. I specifically took my van in to check the motor mount.when he said torque converter/transmission I asked him what the motor mounts looked like. He said the tech did'nt mention that.no one likes to hear they are about to inccur some expensive repairs, but I did'nt expect to hear transmission replacement at 170,000 miles.the fellow at the dealership stated that"heck, that is really good for the 2005 Odyssey".our Nissan truck had over 300,000 miles and our Dodge duelly has over 200,000 miles neither with transmission issues.so, this issue still remains unrepaired-waiting on estimate from dealership. Yikes! the passenger sliding door has not operated correctly for 3-4 years now. It does'nt close all the way. If you open the sliding door, when you close it itwill beep like its not closed.you have to get out and manually slam it shut. They said it may be the motor...too much to fix it..so we just don't use it.recently while pulling into parking spaces, I hear a whinning sound and steering is more difficult.

I was returning home and after driving on the freeway for approximately 45 minutes of driving at approximately 65 mph I heard a pop under the hood of my van and began to see smoke. I was unable to accelerate and had to turn on my hazard lights and pull off the freeway at the next exit. Upon taking my vehicle to my mechanic, I was told my transmission had failed.

My 2005 Honda Odyssey is taking on water in the hatchback/liftgate. After it rains when the liftgate is raised water will poor out of it where the liftgate will latch. It is not a few drops of water, it pours out. Also the water leaks inside as sits in the back cargo area.

Odyssey had great vibration through steering wheel and through body of car. Vibration varied depending on speed. This could of caused a tragic accident. Diagnosis was failure of rear and side motor mounts for the second time in 20 months. Poor design of these mounts fail prematurely and cause vibration and handling errors which could have tragic consequences.

The A/C condenser has been replaced twice due to it being punctured from every day wear and tear. After the most recent incident, the dealership installed a protective shield over the unit to protect it from further damage. I feel this was an engineering flaw and would like to be reimbursed the $678.81 that I have spent having these condensers replaced.

Small rock hit the air conditioner condenser on my 2005 Honda Odyssey (with approximately 12,000 miles), causing a hole in the condenser. The condenser is located just behind the front license plate and is unprotected. Went immediately to Honda dealer when I saw and smelled freon coming from the front of the van. Paid around $800 to replace the condenser. Dealer said the repair was not covered under warranty even though the condenser is not protected because of a poor design.

We have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with 22K miles. Air condition stopped working last weekend. Took the car to dealer and was told a tiny stone hit the ac condenser. The damage is not covered by manufacture warranty. Repair cost is over $800. The damage in fact is caused by poor design and defective condenser. There have been many complaints on ac condenser problem across almost all Honda vehicles. Please investigate the issue and protect consumer right.

Air conditioner on 2005 Honda Odyssey went out. Dealer claimed condenser has hole due to road damage. I found numerous complaints of this nature on topix.net. Dealer themselves claimed to get a few per month. Since it is considered road hazard, it is not covered by warranty. Dealer cost to fix is ~$800. Though not a safety hazard, it certainly seems to be a design problem in that Honda is not sufficiently protecting this component.
