There is a loud 'ticking' noise when in idle. We were told that it was the timing belt...$1200 and still not fixed. Then we were told it was the valve adjustments...$400 and still not fixed. We have had our van in to the dealership FIVE times (terribly inconveniencing when you have 3 young children!) and they said they were working with Honda Canada to try to find the problem and a fix. This last time we were told that "Hondas sometimes do that. You'll have to live with it." I don't want to live with it and I'm sure when it comes to resell it, someone else won't want to live with it. I'm furious!
The cam shaft is worn. The clicking noise was very annoying. The dealer thought it was the valves so they adjusted them. There was still a slight noise. This was to the cost of $400.
it is clicking loudly again. This time dealer replaced the cam shaft and it still has the noise to the tune of $1000 plus. No fix yet.
Please help! We are open to suggestions. We wonder if any others have had similar problems. Thank you.
