It seems the ignition system key pins tend to wear out. In my case, we were unable to remove the key from the ignition. I heard from the repair man, that sometimes you are unable to get the key in the ignition. To fix the problem, the entire ignition had to be replaced, new computer chip, new keys, program keys to ignition chip and re-key the doors.
