This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
When we (family of 4) were backing out of our drive way, at/about 5mph, a loud metallic noise was heard. It appeared to come from under the van, front/left side. We parked the van and looked under the van, everything looked normal. But the noise was quite loud and we knew something was not correct. We drove the van about 50 feet in our cul-de-sac and heard another metallic noise and something fell under the van. When we looked under the van, we found a piece of suspension spring, about 9 inches long. The piece was not rusted or brittle, it looked pretty stong, but appeared to have been suddenly broken/snapped. Lucky that it did not happen when we were are on any highway or at a higher speed. Later we took van to get, the springs/struts replaced. A google search found out that we were not alone, this seem to have happened lots of other families. A typical website example is below. I could find many more. This looks like a systemic or material problem with these springs and Honda must do something so that none would get injured or hurt.
Car began to rumble and vibrate when I pulled into my garage. There was a loud pop noise when engine was shut off and again when I started it the next morning. Thought it was an exhaust problem but my right front engine mount was broken and needed to be replaced. After searching online to find out more about engine mounts I found this is a very common issue with the Honda Odyssey. More than likely, I will be needing the other mounts replaced in the near future. If someone thinks it is an exhaust issue, they may put off having it checked which can put stress on the other mounts. Seems to me with the frequency of this happening to this model car, it should become a recall issue. Can be a definite safety hazard if several of the mounts break at the same time.
While driving at 60mph, with out any warning the steering wheel started shaking and consumer lost control of the vehicle. Consumer was able to pull off the road and had vehicle towed to the dealer. Dealer stated the sway bar connection became loose while driving.
Problems with steering on 2000 Honda Odyssey. There was a vibration in the steering when going 65 mph along with brake pulsation (rear brake drums were tapered and the shoes did not apply properly), rims were out of round, the vehicle pulled to the right, driver's window squeaked when going down, brakes squeaked, one tire was found bad when the vibration in the steering wheel occurred and was replaced. Eventually all the tires were replaced but the vibration still occurred.

When driving at highway speeds consumer noticed front end vibration causing poor vehicle control, consumer has contacted dealer. Dealer has replaced the tires, problem still occurs.
Car pulls to the right at high way speeds. Most of the Honda Honda Odyssey have the same prblem. You have to hold the steering wheel very tight to keep the car going in a straight line. This makes driving the car difficult especially for women. It also creates danger on the highway. Service department of the dealer could not fix the problem. They said tey contacted Honda and Honda does not have a solution either.
The van vibrates at highway speed (above 65 mph), the steering wheel vibrates severe enough to be seen with eyes. Dealer states that all Honda Odyssey lxs all have same problem - therefore they will not repair. This is a safety issue, I believe. You must investigate to force Honda to replace defective part or change their design so the van would not vibrate at highway speeds.( dot number: Tire size: P215/65R16 )
While traveling about 50mph engine makes knocking noise. Rpms go over 1500 also, front wheels on driver side vibrate, and entire vehicle shakes when traveling about 70mph.
