ABS warning light on. Taken to dealer many times over several years. Before warranty expired, dealer topped-off fluid. Problem returned in a few weeks and repeated visits to dealer resulted in same remedy. Eventually, dealer advised replacement of out-of-warranty accumulator for $498.98. After replacement, problem returned less than a week later. Dealer further advised replacing the rest of the ABS system at a cost of over $1000. Brakes otherwise work fine.
1995 Honda Odyssey with 56,000 miles. ABS light went on intermitently. Took the car to Honda dealer. Was told there is a leak on modulator and accumulator. Was advised to replace the modulator accumulator at $1365. This has accounted for over 20% of the complains on 1995 Honda Odyssey on NHTSA site. There was also a similar defect investigation on 1995 Honda acord ABS. Call for an defect investigation on Honda odessey.
1) ABS system: The ABS light has been coming on when the vehicle is started. I have added brake fluid to the resevoir, although this fixed the problem only temporarily. From my research, this appears to be a fairly widespread problem with this make and model year. 2) air conditioner: The ac makes a loud clunking noise, with a certain amount of vibration being felt quite strongly when applying pressure to the gas pedal. The problem diminshes when the rear ac is turned off, and dissipates completely when the ac as a whole is shut down.
ABS warning light on. Dealer said ABS modulator and accumulator leaking, causing ABS failure. Cost to replace: $1300. Occurred 2 weeks after SRS sensor failed and had to be replaced.
ABS & SRS lights on. Dealer claims system failures with expensive repairs. Your database shows 11 previous similiar reports. The SRS component was recalled on the same year Accord. Is there a connection? please investigate!
ABS light came on, dealer reset computer; ABS light came on and off erratically while driving and consumer experienced erratic ABS function at low speeds, ABS light would stay on after vehicle was moving at 5mph.
Brake pedal will go to the floor losing its ability to stop. ABS light has come on indicating a defect. Also, ABS modulator and accumulator started to leak. Dealership replaced leaking brake fluid tube. Repairs have been made at owner's cost.
ABS light came on, dealer put in new brakeaccumulator @ $550-and ABS light came back on in 3 months. Dealer now speculates a bad modulator @ $860-. I have also had to replace an exha ust manifold @ $550- onthis car purchased new. I now have an ABS light that may go back on due to faulty modulator. Please advise # of modulator failures and/ or any recall. Also, there is noise in speedometer that dealer cannot detect.
Under carriage developing rust due to corrosion. This rust deposit is also getting into the ABS system, and causing erratic operation of the brakes when applied. Can NHTSA help in this matter.
Dealer service advises that SRS failure will cost $579.30 to repair. Also, dealer service advises that ABS failure will cost $1345.17 to repair. Both repairs non-warranty work.
