I noticed I started having severe hip and lower back pain pain with an increased commute to work. The pain quickly escalated to numbness in my left leg. I thought it was me, but after the pain kept getting worse I decided to try a different car.
As soon as I started driving a different car, without those awful seats, that pain went away and I noticed it was no longer painful getting in and out of the car.
Update from Apr 15, 2014: My wife started driving this insight after I got a new car and after 2 months, with no prior back problems or injuries, she began having severe lower back pain when driving, then numbness in her left leg and severe pain in her hips as well.
We ended up getting rid of the insight and she got a Volkswagon instead and the back pain, leg numbness, and hip pain went away immediately after she changed cars. Neither of us will even ride as passengers in a Honda again, much less own one. Those seats are horrible and caused too much physical pain.
