The contact owns a 2010 Honda Insight. The contact was driving approximately 55 mph when he began to hear an unusual slapping noise from the roof and could see something slapping against the rear window. The vehicle was pulled over and the contact found that half of the weather stripping from the roof had fractured from the vehicle. He removed the entire weather stripping and the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where it was repaired. The failure recurred one year later. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 4,000 and the current mileage was 24,020.
