A week or so after I purchased my brand new 2019 HRV, I was no longer able to lock or unlock my doors. Not even with the door toggles. The only way I can open my rear hatch is with the key in the ignition and on. The dome lights do not work with the door unless the key is in the ignition. The safety feature of the doors locking after the car is in motion randomly works, but mostly does not work. The headlights are manual, so you have to turn them off even if the car is turned off, but now my headlights go off with the key.
An unrelated issue, and not a defect, but I hate the CVT transmission. It is constantly downshifting while going down the highway when it is not even necessary. Possibly because it is only 140hp. Love the styling of the car, but all of these things have made me regret my purchase even though I have owned Hondas all my life.
