A 80 year old woman was told by dealer that she must drive more to keep vehicle running. The vehicle had been driven 4 days prior to failure to start. Vehicle battery was replaced one year ago under similar circumstances. Dealer advised adding a battery sustainer and keep it plugged in to maintain battery since many computers drain the small battery which is standard equipment in the Honda HRV. Dealer informed owner that this is a common problem in the CRV and HRV vehicles and that there is not room in the auto for a larger battery. Dealer is not replacing second battery as they say dead battery is not the fault of the battery. I purchased this vehicle new to be assured of reliable transportation. My garage is attached to town home and the temperature is usually about 32 degrees. I did not have this problem when the vehicle was parked in a totally unheated garage and was not driven any more regularly than it is now.
