Immediately on the way home from the dealership after purchasing my 2018 HR-V, I had noticed a tapping sound similar to what it would sound like if there were large sporadic raindrops falling just before a storm. As it was raining on and off that day, I attributed it to rain. However, as time went on and the noise continued on sunny clear days, I reported the issue to the dealership.
First visit they said they didn't hear it and couldn't verify the issue.
Second visit, same thing.
Third visit, I took them for a ride, was easily able to duplicate the issue repeatedly, and they admitted to me in the vehicle that they heard the noise. They took it in the garage but couldn't find the source and told me there's nothing they can do.
Fourth visit, I'm getting really annoyed at the lack of interest in the service personnel at Lehigh Valley Honda to resolve this annoying issue. I took them for a ride again and they heard the issue, but after getting it back from them the service mechanics claimed they never heard the issue and there's nothing they can do.
Having exhausted myself to get them to take this issue seriously and be professional, I tried another dealership. First visit to Ray Price Honda, and within 10 minutes they heard the issue and found the problem without me taking them for a ride. Not only did they find the problem, they repaired it and a couple other noise issues they found after they removed the interior head liner. When I got it back from them I heard no noise issues at all, THANK GOD.
