I rate this really awful due to the fact that I live in TX and an AC here is gold. This car takes at least 30 to 45 minutes of driving at highway speeds to cool down on hot days. Until that point you are sweating, especially if you are a passenger as the vents in front of the passenger hardly blow.
When the ac compressor clutch engages it puts such a drain on the electrical system that the blower motor dies down. This also happens when turning on the rear defroster but does come back up to speed in 3 to 5 seconds. I took the vehicle in the first week I had it because the car interior was not cooling like it should. They replaced the battery and added freon to the A/C system. The tech told me the battery was on the way out, and the A/C was about a pound low on freon. The fan still dies down when other accessories are engaged. I know this happens in all vehicles, but is bad in this one. Not to mention the air speed coming out of the vents is in no way even, and the 3 in front of the passenger barely blow at all compared to the others, and take forever to cool down.
