Honda wants $2,200 to fix wiring, in my leased HRV that was eaten by, Honda says, rodents. The car has 20,000 miles in 3 years, so low mileage. Lease is up in a few months and I was going to purchase it. But now I have my concerns. This was my 1st HONDA and I was excited to own it based on Honda's reputation. Their choice of soy based materials has caused a rash of problems for Honda owners. Honda is not standing up for their manufacturing materials. If this is how they treat their customers and they will not help with the problem without charging me $2,200 for no fault of mine, then I'm out.
I would be interested to know if anyone has received any help from Honda on these soy based materials and rodent issues.
