I am sorry, I need to contact you since I am little disappointed with my Honda Freed which I bought in early 2011 >> bought in January 2012, today just run about 64.000 km.
The Honda dealer told me, that I need to replace the EPS control unit, which cost me about USD 700 (Part Number: 39980-FZY-E02) exclude tax and service cost.
The DTCs error is : 35-02 EPS control unit Internal Circuit (EEPROM1).
It is really disappointed for me. I understand that the warranty of the car is just finish, but big question for me that the EPS control unit is fragile, broken easily while running kilo meter less than 100K km
I am working in PCBA electronic manufacturing and have a standard process of manufacturing, normally when the electronic part had been assembly in good process will be last longer.
The local dealer looks like they don't want to respond my problem and always said that warranty was over, I need to pay all the cost.
I am contacting you to actually to have a good feed back to Honda about the EPS control unit performance.
I want to know, what made my EPS control unit faulty? Why it became faulty so fast ( just after warranty finished) running kilo meter just reach about 64.000 km below 100.000 km.
I want to have clear root cause about my EPS, and good if Honda can take this feed back to improve the performance of the EPS. Failure analysis is necessary in that case.
The steering is little bit heavy when we run above 40 km/hr and little bit difficult to control.
It is really dangerous for me to drive this car, really safety issue.
I am staying in Batam Indonesia and you can contact me through this below address.
