The led odometer display, which includes the gas gauge and other vital information Geo blank or is garbled and unreadable. This happens every day when I first turn it on and stays that way most of the day. Sometimes it will start to work and sometimes it stays that way all day.

I need a new starter. I bought my 2016 Honda Fit used 5 months ago. It now has 43,900 miles. A 3 year old car with this mileage should not need to have the starter replaced. I tried 2-3 times to start my car but it wouldn't start. No clicking noise, no noise at all. I thought it was a dead battery and when jumped it started right away. Several more times it wouldn't start the first time but the 2nd and 3rd time trying it turned over and started. My neighbor told me it could be electrical. This has happened at least 10-15 times and after trying 3-4 times it starts right up. I finally took my car to my mechanic when tested he said it was the starter and said I needed a new one. It will cost $500 for the new part plus labor. Well over $700 dollars. Thank goodness I purchased the extended warranty. I will have to pay $44 because the extended warranty only allows "at cost" for parts. Another thing, after going through the car wash or after a rain storm the inside of the door panels are full of water but luckily the water doesn't enter the car as I've read on other complaints about this model Honda. One more thing while I'm complaining...a lot of highway road noise. For the price Honda could and should be making a much better vehicle. On the plus side, it is easy to drive, maneuver and park.

Once the low tire pressure light is set by the TPMS the vehicle owner cannot clear it since Honda has removed all manual and electronic reset options for the owner. With this light remaining on the owner effectively has no low tire pressure warning system. Correcting tire pressures and driving the required 60 miles or more does nothing.

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Fit. The contact stated that the vehicle it failed to start. The vehicle was taken to all star Honda (6141 S 27th St, greenfield, wi 53221) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was manufactured in that manner. If the vehicle were parked for several days, the battery would fail, which was an ongoing failure. The manufacturer was contacted and did not acknowledge a manufacturing failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000.

Our Honda dealership has informed us the the check engine light is the result of rodents chewing on a wiring harness. This is an issue with Honda using soy covered wires. Honda is reported to have known about this issue for years. Honda will not cover it under warranty. Although our insurance covers the repair, we have a $500. Deductible. This should be a class action lawsuit. Our vehicle has only 612 miles on it. This is outrageous.
