  1. Honda Fit was purchase new in 2015 from a dealer ship in mid Missouri.

    2. The Honda Fit was driven between Missouri, Alabama and Mid Kansas. At approx. 20,000 miles the Honda Fit needed tires. I thought this was odd......I contacted the dealer and asked him about why the Honda Fit would need tires this soon, he said that's about right, with the tires that come on the vehicle.

    3. To date the Honda Fit has had a total of 7 new tires.

  2. Took the Honda to one of our local service center to have the oil change. When the Honda Fit was on the lift I review the tire situation, the right rear need to be replace. I discussed this with one of the mechanic....he agreed tire usage did not seem right.

    5. After the service to the Honda Fit they check the alignment, front was correct and the rear was out indicating issues with the axel . The man working the front end machine ask me if the Honda Fit has every been in an accident, I said no. He went on to say that the rear axel is bent and that would account for the tire issue. I said can this been corrected, he said that a Honda dealership would be require to correct the issue. He also supplied me with a copy of the front end results.

    6. I contacted the dealership where the vehicle was purchase and explained the tire issues, I supplied them with the mileage (approx. 51,000) and a copy of the front end print out. After several phone calls the dealership said the Honda Fit was out of warranty ( 36000 or 3yr).The dealership said they would do their best to work with me, also they want to check the alignment on there front end machine just to confirm the issues. The Service Advisor went on to state that in order to correct the issue they would need to "Shim" the real axel, at a cost of $400.00+ which I would be require to pay.

    7. What's, at issue is when, the rear axle was bent.......It would seem that the issues with the axel was there from day one. The ladies that operate this vehicle have never been in a accident with the Honda Fit.

    8. I'm can only assume that dealership can print the History from the on-board e-prom indicating any type accident .......situation is still under development.

When I threatened to get a lawyer the dealer said the would see if they could do anything for me. I'm waiting to hear back. This car has not been in an accident. There is no reason for a bent axle and it is not covered by warranty. The ride is terrible and noisy. They assure me it is safe to drive but I don't feel safe.
