It all started in October 2022 when I was washing my vehicle and noticed that paint had peeled off revealing the brown undertone of the primer. I immediately googled this issue and found that it is a very common issue with my vehicle. So much so, that the warranty was extended to 7 years due to so many complaints. As it was still 2022, I was still hopeful that I could get it covered under warranty and so I called up my Honda dealership. They looked up my VIN number and informed me that it was going to be a very expensive repair and there was nothing they could do because the warranty was from the time of manufacturing and so it expired in May 2022.
Very upset I also emailed Honda Canada. I was strung along for three months with them even telling me that Honda Canada's paint warranty was "very generous". Because the customer service representatives informed me that it was very possible that I could still get it covered up warranty I even went to their preferred auto shop "pro first" is what they like to call it where they determined that the damage was on all four doors and would be a very costly repair. I send the quote to Honda Canada, and they inform me quite curtly that there is nothing that can be done and the only thing they can do is ironically give be $1500 credit for a new Honda vehicle.
I was relentlessly strung along for 3 months while Honda Canada took their time determining whether or not they could cover my vehicle for a problem that has countless technical bulletin services out.
This is going to be a very expensive repair!!!
