- Similar Issue In Oddessey And CR-V Was Just Subject Of Class Action Settlement - Just had the exact same problem with my 11' Fit. Had a few more miles on it (7k) but still unacceptable. The service person first said, "Oh it's no problem, it's covered by your bumper to bumper warranty," and then later another person in a suit came up and said, it wasn't and had an estimate of $850. Absolutely ridiculous that this has not been taken care of. I took a look and there's several very bad dents in our condenser. A simple grill would add some protection, and the fact that other models have had this problem, and older Fits as well (from a quick Google search) you would expect a company with a reputation like Honda to take care of it. Considering a lawsuit at this point. Anymore that's the only way to get their attention.

Honda engineers seem ignorant of the fact that you cannot leave a fragile component like a condenser exposed to the road without protection. There are 8 gapping exposures in the lower cowling of the bumper, you can fit your fist through these....no protection to the condenser at all. Once repaired...the problem can simply continue to occur as they do not address the issue...so an owner could potentially face this problem and costs...800-1000 a visit, repeatedly. Any after market/third party parts or any solution installed by someone who is not a Honda service person, violates the Honda Plus warranty. It is nothing less than a brazen disregard by Honda to their customers. EXTREMELY disappointed.
Last Honda for me, unless there is a recall to address this error in judgment by Honda who seem more than happy to have their customers to foot the bill for their engineers incompetence.
