This problem started in 2011 and when I complained to dealer they lubricated lock and it worked for about 6 months with occasional problems but then began to be stuck shut more often. Now no amount of lubrication can help. Dealer suggested lock replacement at approximately $280 plus labour. I bought this car because of the cargo space and now can't use it. I have had multiple Honda's prior (Civic Hatch until discontinued) and was always a big fan of their reliability but this has begun to turn me off the brand. The days of dealers doing the "right thing" are long gone...obviously I was slow to this reality!
