Car has only35,000 and transmission sounds like it is going to fall on ground....
last night the check engine light (know by other name on Honda) came on...this morning was not on. Drove car 2 miles big thuds under center of car 4 almost in a row - stopped car put in park. I then while stopped put the car in drive and big thud every time i put it in gear from neutral. Called dealer to arrange appt...shut car off . Put car on again and drove and thud was gone, however at the end of 3 miles, could feel heaviness in shifting again...knew it was going to begin thudding. Parked and had car towed to dealer. will put in diagnosis later. don't know what engine light had to do with transmission but i found online another complaint with the same problem . light and thudding transmission.
Update from Oct 11, 2012: was same problem i have seen complaints about..CodeP0847 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure switch. Fortunately for me, it was under warranty...but was scary when it happened.. so if your sensor comes on and you start thumping and it feels like your transmission is going to fall on ground any minute when car shifts to second...it may be this
