So, around 40,000 miles, my Fit started having issues on cold mornings, especially if I went into reverse.
Once that little blue-ish "C(old)" light went out, letting me know that the engine warmed up, I was usually in the clear. But it took about 2 miles of driving on fairly cold mornings. At one point, the car stalled while I was driving down Mountain Road in Pasadena, Maryland. I was driving around 40-45 mph, so it was alarming. I put the car into neutral, and started it back up, while coasting. What if this happened to someone who panics? It could have been serious, you know? Anyhow, at around 75k / 80k miles, I had a smart mechanic try adjusting the timing on the valves.
That was in 2011. It's now 2016, and I haven't had any issues. The car drives great, I'm at 220,800 miles, and I'm very happy.
