I regularly maintain my automobiles and just recently had two recalls completed. After one week of the recall repair my check engine light lit up. I drove to my mechanic who checked the obvious and found nothing. He noticed it misfired once when cold. He turned the light off and one week later it came back on again. After one day the light turned off and has not come back on. I did notice however the car seemed to sputter when cold which is new. Mechanic said it could possibly be the oxygen sensor but seemed like my car didn't have enough miles for that to be the cause. I was sent home and told to keep my eye on it. This is most annoying because I feel unsafe driving the car away from home not knowing if it truly does have a mechanical problem.
