The Honda Fit is so low that when parking such that the front end hangs over the parking barrier barrier the splash guard under the car and sometimes the bumper get ripped off. This especially happens if you park when the tires are hot and then leave when the tires are cold and the car has settled a bit. This has happened three times to me. Once part of the bumper got ripped off and I just refused to replace it. The second time the splash guard ripped off and I replaced it. The third time the splash guard came off but my mechanic was able to reattach it. The Fit is a great car until it gives you fits.
