I bought my 2007 Honda Fit USED in 2012. Recently I noticed some rusting starting along both rear wheel wells. Honda wanted over $1000 to "examine" the source of the problem. In the meantime, I discovered the back floor boards became saturated and the spare tire compartment was full of water and rusting. The car's rusting is obviously due to worn seals. Honda will not help us, unless we pay $1000 for the initial examination and then up from there. Yet the same dealer only offered me $2500 as a trade-in for the vehicle, without knowing the problem in advance! When I purchased the car, I was told it was "treated" against rust. Not true. Don't know what to do now. Car is getting worse daily.
