In September 20 , 2019 I purchased a brand new 2018 Honda Clarity Plug in Hybrid, soon after I bought it I noticed paint peeling by the trunk. I also noticed that on roof and the hood there was a lot of discoloration and small cracks in the paint and it appeared that it was bubbling. On November 21 I called Corporate Honda reported the problem and was told to take it to a Honda dealer.
On November 25th I took it to Coggin Collision center and upon inspection and conferring with the rep at the Main office of Honda it was determined that there was a paint defect and they were going to repaint the affected areas only and I was told that this was only one time good will gesture and if anything else goes wrong with the paint in the future Honda was not going to do anything anymore. During the duration of the repaint job that took a few days I was not provided with a replacement vehicle.
Since it was determined that there was defective paint Honda should have either painted the whole vehicle because the same paint was used to paint the whole car or at least assure me that if anything else goes wrong with the rest of the non painted sections of the car that they will take care of it and not Boldly state to me that it was only one time good will gesture.
