The contact owns a 2019 Honda Civic. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle jerked. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle shuddered while coming to a complete stop. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the sparks plugs and two ignition coil packs were replaced; however, the vehicle was not operating as needed. The vehicle was not repaired. I am not sur what is causing all of the lights coming on dash as well as all safety features being lost when driving the car. Right now it is but the light and warnings may cut off. Cr stalls at times. Hose keeps coming off the turbo causing the car no to accelerate in traffic. Yes, without any of the features working my safety and others safety is at risk Yes, The vehicle has been in the shop four times in 1 month for the same issue they say its fixed but the lights keep coming back on and I keep losing all safety features in the car. This is an on going issue 7/31 had car serviced for issue 8/10 light back on, hose loose again, 8/12 lights on again. 9/7 light back on have to take car to shop again. This is the 4th time.

Headgasket failure at extremely low miles due to poor or flawed design. Vehicle has a valley between the cylinders where the gasket sits begging to be blown out. The low mileage failure rate is tremendous causing numberous drivability issues while on the road. You loose entire throttle control every light on the dash comes on. Every advance system shuts down. You loose every assist feature. It-??s all of a sudden and random as well. Pulled out on to the main highway 52 and my car just fell on its face. If I wouldn-??t have been in an area safely and quickly to hurry and get out of the way of traffic. It could-??ve seriously caused a big accident. Pulling out on a highway or interstate with everything being normal then bam you have no control of the vehicle is a very horrifying situation to have to be subjected to.

I received a notice from Honda dated "February 2024." The notice states that "the fuel pump module may have an improperly molded impeller. Over time the impeller can deform and cause the fuel pump to become inoperable... an inoperable fuel pump could prevent an engine from starting, cause a vehicle to lose drive power, or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury." Honda acknowledges the fact that there COULD be an issue with certain of their vehicles, but later states that "[t]he replacement parts needed to repair your vehicle are not currently available but are expected to become available in the fall of 2024." Knowing that Honda wants me to drive a possibly defective vehicle for at least 6 more months while KNOWINGLY allowing me to do so with the "increas[ed]... risk of a crash or injury, " is extremely concerning. I contacted American Honda Motor Co., Inc. customer service and the representative informed me that she has "made a case" for me and that, "if anything happens, just bring it to a dealer." She could not provide me adequate answers to my follow-up questions. Specifically, I am concerned that, if it does happen, why bring it to a dealer" Honda has explicitly stated in their recall notice that the "parts needed to repair [my] vehicle are not currently available." Additionally, suppose, as Honda cautions, the "risk of a crash or injury" occurs and I do not have the opportunity to make it to a dealership" I, any passengers, or any other driver on the road, Honda operator or not, could become deceased as a result of an "inoperable fuel pump." I also drive a Kia Stinger and, as your agency might be aware, this issue was front and center with Kia a few months ago. Unfortunately, my Stinger fell victim and thankfully, I was in my driveway when it occurred. I am not comfortable driving this 2019 Honda Civic given this information and my past experience. This behavior and "notice" from Honda is evidence of their negligence.

Many owners of the same car are experiencing water entering from the hood scoop and dripping onto the 4th cylinder causing the coils and spark plug to rust and will throw a check engine light. Honda knows about it and won-??t fix it. Clearly there-??s a default on how the car was design and Honda should have a fix to correct this issues.

The starter was having trouble igniting the engine upon startup. The engine would crank but would not finish with starting up. I did this three or four times. Upon removing the key from the ignition and putting it back in the ignition and starting it up the car started up normally. The issue seems to be with either the ignition system or fuel system, which is available for inspection upon request. The car could suddenly stop without warning on the road and endanger the safety of myself or other drivers. The problem was previously acknowledged by NHTSA in two separate campaign numbers in May 2020 (20V314000) and March 2021 (21V215000) and this particular Civic was serviced in 2021in accordance with that recall and confirmed by the dealer. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.

I accelerated into a driveway of a convenience store and as I was halfway through the driveway my gas pedal became unresponsive and would not accelerate. Car started rolling back into traffic. 2 weeks later my pedal became unresponsive on the freeway. I exited and immediately called thd dealer because i had already taken it to get checked out after the first incident and they basically said nothing can be done but to trade it in since the mechanic had already said there was nothing wrong.

I was recently charged for a repair to my 2019 Honda Civic type R by chapman Honda of tucson, Arizona.chapman Honda incorrectly blames the repair on washing the car/engine.subsequent research into the issue shows the issue of water present in spark plug cylinders of this model vehicle have occurred globally, and has nothing to do with washing any part of the vehicle. The problem is a design flaw with this vehicle, and it is a safety issue with the vehicle.

This car was just released from being 'fixed, ' at the dealership. The day after the car stalled on the highway nearly causing an accident. The car has the following problems since 5000 miles and is supposed to have been a new car. It's a lemon. 1. engine cylinders flooded with coolant 2. engine not working 3. dashboard computer flashing all systems failure (since 30 days after car was purchased in 11/2019. Never resolved). 4. heater not working. Entire ac system replaced. They also said some valve had gone out as well. That's never been made clear to me in spite of repeated inquiries. 5. car out of service since Feb 23 to date. Honda corporate has told me to pound sand. To go make a lemon law complaint.

Brand new 2019 Civic with a leaking condenser. Car has 4862miles, with all the extended warranties. Honda refused coverage even though they have not done all they can to protect such a fragile component. Was told a "small pebble" hit the condenser causing a leak. In 2012 Honda settled a 40million dollar class action for this very same thing on the CRV and other models. On this class action they agreed to have dealerships put a metal screen to protect the condenser. Why aren't they doing this with all vehicles!"!?! Honda is straight up running a scam on it's customers. At $1,000 a pop per repair, my local dealership admitted to seeing at least 5 of this type or repair coming through every week!! imagine how much refrigerant is leaking into the atmosphere!" 5 a week at one dealership....wow.
